The South Shore CSA Core Group is proud to announce that the South Shore CSA has been awarded a $3000 grant from the Citizens Committee for New York City. This grant will allow the South Shore CSA to pay for the start up costs to commence this community organization and buy the much needed supplies so that we can get started this season. Further, monies are allocated for bus transportation for those wanting to attend the Circle Brook Farm, Pot Luck Lunch and Farm Visit at the start of the 2014 CSA Season. Finally, we have reserved the cost of 2 full vegetable and fruit shares for 2 families affected by Hurricane Sandy. This money will be paid to the farmer in advance so that those families can pay back their share on a week to week basis. Information about how families can apply will be published on May 1, 2014.
We look forward to working with you this CSA Season. Happy, clean eating!
